The Champions Events

(You must have received a champions score in a previous Vikings Game):

Archery

This event will be judged on the accuracy of competitors hitting a target. In this event champions will compete with a 65-pound draw bow. Competitors will shot at a target 100 feet down field. Score will be given on the total of three (3) shots.

Caber Toss

This event will be judged on the accuracy of competitors turning the Caber over one complete turn and landing it nearest to 12:00 on a marker as if it where the long hand on a clock. In this event champions will compete with a 50-pound wood Caber. Score will be given on the single best throw.

Hammer Throw

This event will be judged on distance from the thrower within 3 feet to the left or right of a marker line. In this event champions will compete with a 20-pound hammer. Any throwing position or style will be allowed and the thrower will be allowed to step as many times as is needed as they throw as long as they do not pass the throwing line. Score will be given on the best of two (2) throws.

Wood Race

This event will be judged on the speed by which the competitor can complete the marked course while pulling tags on trees, maneuvering the obstacles and returning with the tags. The fastest time with the most tags wins.

All events will be given a first place winner only. All first place winners in the Champions events will receive a award and a certificate of championship in their event.
